Only Leo van der Hoeven was fit (mad?) enough to risk this climb to take a picture of the cactus we spotted from below. He believes it was  Eriosyce aurata; from the little we can see of the picture on the right, I'd guess it's perhaps C. coquimbana, but much further inland than I'd expect.
